Therapy for Families
Family therapy is a form of treatment that is designed to address specific issues affecting the health and functioning of a family.
It may include all family members or just those able or willing to participate. Your specific treatment plan will depend on your family’s situation. It can be used to help a family through a difficult period, a major transition, or mental or behavioural health problems suffered by one or more members of the family.
Family therapy sessions can teach you skills to deepen family connections, improve communication and get through stressful times, even after you’re done going to therapy sessions.
Some therapeutic approaches we might employ are:
- Psychodynamic Therapy
- Systemic Therapy
