Working with adults and adolescents on
Having first obtained her B.A. (Hons) in Psychology from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, Shermaine proceeded to pursue her Master of Counselling from Monash University. She has offered therapy services in different clinical settings, such as in the public healthcare, within the social service and community, and for offenders undergoing rehabilitation programmes.
In the therapeutic space, Shermaine highly values empathy and prioritises her clients’ well-being. Seeing each client as a unique person, she adopts a client-centred integrative approach that adapts to the needs and strengths of each individual. She is trained in and practices evidence-based interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
In her free time, Shermaine loves to dance and engage in the arts, travel and discover new experiences, and spend time with her loved ones.
