Working with adults, children, adolescents and families on
Marilyn holds a Masters of Counselling from Monash University and an Honours degree in Psychological Sciences from James Cook University (Singapore). She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and Play Therapy International, UK and Play Therapy, Singapore.
Marilyn prioritises her clients’ wellbeing and their therapeutic journey above all to provide emotional and psychological support with the highest regard for integrity and care. She offers therapy to adults, adolescents and children in the areas of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, and work-related struggles. Her background (Educational Therapist working closely with families and parents of special needs children) also gives her a broader understanding and empathy towards challenges pertaining to the role of parenting, caregiver support and emotion regulation. She is trained to employ Transformational Chairwork, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy. She is also interested in areas of addiction.
As a born and bred Singaporean, Marilyn is familiar with the stressors that come with growing up and living in Singapore and the intricacies of being a daughter, wife and mother. She is also an accredited Play Therapist and is an Executive Coordinator of Play Therapy Singapore where she supervises trainee play therapists for their practicum work. During her free time, she enjoys travelling, and spending quality time with her family.
