Working with children, adolescents, parents, couples and adults on
Luca d’Avanzo trained as a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist at the Tavistock Clinic in London, and worked in Chelsea & Westminster Hospital CAMHS and Westminster CAMHS (both NHS services) for many years before focusing on independent practice in South Kensington, London.
He is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist who works with children and adolescents with anxiety and depression or who are struggling more generally to find direction and purpose in their lives often against a background of family breakdown, the impact of divorce or academic pressure at school. He also works with parents helping them to understand and contextualise their children’s difficulties.
In addition to his work with children and young people, Luca is a trained Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist having gained his qualification through the British Psychotherapy Foundation in London.
He is a member of the Association of Child Psychotherapists, the British Psychotherapy Foundation and the British Psychoanalytic Council.
